Did you know that the first folk museum in Bucharest opened its doors in 1905? The private collection of doctor Nicolae Minovici was displayed in his beautiful Neo-Romanian house, known by the locals as the Villa with the bells.
It is said that one could have heard from miles away the sound made by the 40 crystal hanging bells up in the villa’s tower.
